Gerald Doggett Ministries: January Update...For Your Encouragement

As a new year begins, many will try to change circumstances by new disciplines and more religious activity. However, I believe this year must be different than last year. Situations that did not change in 2011 must change this year. Refuse to enter 2012 without moving to another dimension of victory. What will it take to make this vital transition? What must change in order to climb to another level? I believe the key is in the “SOUL.” That’s our will, emotions, thinking, etc….

It took God a lot longer to get Egypt out of the children of Israel that it took Him to get the children of Israel out of Egypt. Old mindsets, and old ways of thinking, will not change one circumstance of your life this year. It takes more than the turning of a calendar day to have a new beginning. Most folks will simply make their resolutions, turn the calendar, and believe they have a new beginning. Make it deeper this year. As you turn the calendar, ask God for a fresh manifestation of the MIND OF CHRIST!

God wants to bless you with an innovative mind for 2012. Paul wrote to the Philippians and gave the instruction, “…….whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

There is no time like the present. Regardless of what day in January you are reading this note, take a few moments; experience a fresh manifestation of the Mind of Christ in your life. Make up your mind to discipline your thinking to a Philippians 4:8 thinking, even if you need a reminder each day. Here’s an idea; take this note, fold it, place it in a book, or your Bible, or perhaps leave it open, and place in on the refrigerator so it can be seen each day until the discipline is etched into the fabric of your life.

Let’s refuse defeat this year. Come on, get up on the inside, let God renew your strength, and begin a “pro active” lifestyle. Assault your problems with prayer, release your faith at new levels, and experience the miracles you always knew were yours.

I am convinced 2012 will be one of the greatest years to live. You’ve suffered enough. The Bible says that, “weeping may endure for a night, but JOY cometh in the morning.” It’s time to ENJOY YOUR JOY!
